Materials, Machines and Advanced Electromagnetic Devices (MADEA)

The MADEA team's multi-disciplinary activities are aimed at designing and building innovative systems based on a thorough understanding of materials, their potential applications in electrical engineering and electromagnetic structural calculations.
They are organized around 4 themes:

  • Functional Materials for Electrical Engineering,
  • System Design and Modeling,
  • Innovative Devices for Energy Conversion
  • Processing, and Innovative Devices for Energy Management.

The research is based on the development of specific material characterization benches, machine test benches and the production of demonstrators. This experimental activity gives the team significant and recognized expertise. The team also uses and interacts with numerical modeling, dimensioning and optimization software.
